JND Racing forms partnership with BirelART

Nick Percat’s JND Racing kart team has formed an official partnership to become a factory-supported BirelART team ahead of the 2025 season.

The squad will be known as BirelART by JND, coinciding with a relocation to Queensland over the off-season.

It sees the JND operation move to running BirelART machinery effective immediately in preparation for the 2025 Australian Kart Championship.

With a more than 60-year history in the karting world, the BirelART brand has won 26 world titles and countless national championships.

The Italian kart manufacturer will provide direct support in conjunction with BirelART Racing Australia to the JND squad, a crucial asset heading into the 2025 campaign.

Brad Jenner recently claimed JND’s maiden national title, becoming the X30 champion.

JND Racing co-owner, Percat, says the partnership with BirelART shows global recognition of the team’s efforts in its first year.

“Excited to be joining forces with BirelART, it’s a privilege to be running a race team under such a prestigious banner in the karting scene,” said Percat.

“I think it’s a very good opportunity for the JND team to be associated with a major karting manufacturer and one that has great distribution, product knowledge, and customer support here in Australia.”

“The support from Ronni Sala at BirelART and Michael Patrizi at Patrizicorse has been great.

“It’s very cool in the early stages of JND that we have support from a karting manufacturer under the BirelART by JND branding.

“It’s a very big opportunity for the JND team and drivers moving forward, working as a group with BirelART Racing Australia will only strengthen both teams and more importantly our drivers.”

JND’s pathway with A14 will be continuing, with exciting news on that and the relationship between A14 and JND expected in the coming months.

Michael Patrizi, Managing Director, Patrizicorse, and Exclusive importer of BirelART, said: “We are very happy JND has chosen BirelART products as their chassis of choice in this next important part of their journey as a racing team.”

“With Nick and his team from JND joining Michael and his team from BirelART Racing Australia, brings a wealth of knowledge for our customers unrivaled down under.”

“Over the years Patrizicorse has done a great job promoting the BirelART brand, between Michael’s team and Nick working together we are sure to see even greater results across all categories.

“This is a strategic partnership between all three parties so I would like to officially welcome from our side BirelART by JND.”

President of BirelART, Ronni Sala, said: “Welcome Nick and the entire JND team to the Red Army!

“Two years ago, we made the decision to retire the Ricciardo Kart brand and refocus on the original, BirelART.

“The journey since has been incredible, and having JND on board as an official team is a testament to the hard work paying off.

“Nick and his team recently had a test day with us, and all their drivers left with high spirits, full of confidence in the BirelART products — a fantastic start.

“With Nick’s passion and expertise, combined with the dedication of the JND team, I have no doubt we are on the cusp of a successful journey together.

“I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to partner with someone in the Australian karting scene, and I know we’ve made the right choice.

“I want to thank the JND team for believing in our vision, our passion, our support, and, of course, our products.

“BirelART by JND isn’t just a name; it’s a partnership we’re eager to grow together.”
